Nolan came to our apartment early the following morning. The worry on his face told me he had already heard about Ava and Isla. He probably knew Darius was preparing to hand Silverlake back to Edmund too, but he had not known how to break the news to us. Our packed bags were still in the bedroom, hidden from sight.
