I froze with a glass of juice halfway to my lips. Before I could invent an answer, Maya’s eyes widened. She looked at my stomach, then at my face. A joyful squeal escaped her.
“You are pregnant!” Maya shouted. “Congratulations!”
Everyone else stared at her in confusion before understanding spread around the room. Nolan rose so quickly that he almost knocked over the table.
